Haibun: Simple Tell

When trying to write this haibun, or anything really, I believe the best work can be said in one simple sentence. I was volunteering at a church and we were turning out the transformation stories of people. One of the people editing a story asked me how to edit. I said, if you can explain it in one simple sentence you have your story, but if it ends up a complex sentence it needs to be trimmed down.

When we tell, keeping it simple keeps the audience.

(I’m getting ready to go to Alaska, so there will be some different explore, reflect, and tell haibun soon!)
