Haibun: Peace Over Clarity

Away from the motion, the commotion, and the common events of life that speed faster and faster there isn’t clarity, but getting away shouldn’t be about clarity. Clarity isn’t the win. I wish I could promise the ability to act decisively and confidently with being still, but with time I think that is a Hollywood myth or a legend pushed by people who don’t ever still their mind but say they do to virtue signal.

Being still or going for long walks I find peace in the chaos instead of feeling the motion and emotions from the spinning thoughts of chaos full force. The problem at hand lessons it grip a bit, enough sometimes, but it doesn’t go away. In fact, it’s this peace that makes the desire for clarity so much less suffocating, and that is the win.
