Haibun: Cycle
This guest haiku is by my nephew Zak Gwynne. Walking through the San Tan Mountain Regional Park, we started exploring cacti, exploring their roots, exploring the bite marks in them.
Down the trail we trekked when there was a, “wait Uncle Marc, I have a haiku.”
And now as I write this, all I can say is I hope one day he hears, “wait Uncle Zak, I have a haiku” so the cycle can go on.
Cornucopia
Death and rot gives nutrition
The cycle goes on
